Using Yahoo! Maps to Plot GPS Tracks

Much of the effort to develop add-ons for mapping sites has focused on
Google Maps.
GoogleMapsMania is, in fact, dedicated to this sort of thing. So it is refreshing to see tool development for mapping sites others than Google Maps.
Trip Track Map is a
Yahoo! Maps based tool that allows users to paste in GPS track locations (
formatted for Garmin receivers) and plot them on the map. It also enables users to plot an altitude graph (based on the GPS receiver’s own data) and to show an animated movement of the track over time. The site provides an example that’s worth checking out (click on GPS, then Example on the bottom corner of the popup screen).
