The British Library has posted a number of historical documents for viewing online, including Mercator’s Atlas of Europe. The atlas is a compilation of a number of maps produced by Mercator from the 1560s and 1570s. It is presented in a Flash format that allows the user to turn and magnify pages. It is also accompanied by an audio guide.By way of La Cartoteca
