The
Guardian Umlimited has a review by Paul Hamilos of three books:
Cities of the World: A History in Maps by Peter Whitfield;
Atlas Maior by Joan Blaeu; and
Descriptive Map of London Poverty 1889 by Charles Booth. The
Guardian Umlimited also
has a number of images from the books on its site. Booth’s map of London
is available online in various pieces and formats,
including one interactive one that compares his map to another of modern London.
