Radical Cartography

Radical Cartography is not so much radical as it is interesting. There are a number of interesting maps on this site, including a flash map of
the development of telephone area codes in the United States,
a comparison of projections of South America,
a scale comparison of North American subway networks, and a
map of North and South America showing place name etymologies. As well, there are
a number of links to interesting resources, some of which are dead (including the Starbucks Avoidance Map - has anyone seen this?). Worth spending some time visiting.
